D's Baked Fresh is a female-owned therapeutic edibles company based in New York, founded by Kristina Stratton and her husband Derek.
With a shared passion for wellness and natural healing, we started this company to create high-quality THC and CBD infused products that not only taste delicious but also promote a balanced lifestyle between activity and relaxation. Kristina's background in holistic health and Derek's passion for baking allow us to craft unique edibles that reflect our commitment to both flavor and therapeutic benefits. The Baker: Derek Stratton
D’s Baked Fresh began in 2016 when Derek baked THC cookies to help his mother manage the side effects of chemotherapy for her colon cancer. Though she passed later that year, the cookies provided significant relief from her chemo symptoms.
Derek soon realized that delivering plant medicine through unhealthy ingredients was counterproductive—like putting vitamin C in a shot of whiskey. The delivery system mattered! Determined to create something both healthy and delicious, Derek dedicated himself to experimenting in the kitchen, searching for the best ingredients without compromising on taste.
He meticulously researched various THC strains and continued refining his recipes. Through this careful research and mindful preparation, he ultimately perfected a brownie that embodies both therapeutic benefits and exceptional flavor.
The CEO: Kristina Stratton
When the opportunity came about for Kristina and Derek to share Derek's homemade edibles, Kristina got right to work on the logistics. Being their number one fan, she was excited to release to a greater audience, his products that for so many years brought ease to her anxieties and relief to her phsyical pain.
Having a background in movement and wellness, Kristina used Derek's brownies and cookies to dive deep into understanding her passion towards physical balance as well as managing grief and its extended discomforts. Now, three babies later, Derek's edibles are still her to go to therapeutic when in need of help relaxing, re-balancing and connecting back to what's most meaningful in life.
The Grower: Uncle Bob
Derek's Uncle Bob, a seasoned grower with over 30 years of experience, has been perfecting a hybrid hemp strain to help him stay focused and relaxed during his daily woodsman chores.
After his brain surgery, he also discovered that this strain could help manage his seizure disorder. When Derek and Kristina launched D's Baked Fresh, Bob began cultivating what is now our signature Purple Punch strain.
